More Frequently Asked Questions about Pediatric Speech Language Pathology and Circle Speech Therapy

Coming Soon

Where will the sessions be?

Currently, I am traveling to clients' houses. Eventually, I will have an office space for evaluations and treatment sessions. I am licensed in speech language pathology only in Minnesota at this time, so if you live in Wisconsin we can discuss treatment location options.

Will my insurance cover my visit?

Circle Speech Therapy is a private pay clinic, so you will pay for the sessions the day we see each other. I can provide a monthly Superbill for you to submit to your insurance company.  It is the client's family's responsibility to verify with the insurance company what is needed. Submission of a Superbill does not guarantee reimbursement.

How long will sessions be?

Session length and frequency will be determined following our first in-person consultation or evaluation. Our initial visit will be 45-90 minutes long and regular treatment sessions will be 30-60 minutes long.

What will happen during a session?

Each session will consist of direct therapy with the child and some time to talk about any questions family may have. There may be some suggestions given to help with carryover of goals.

No Surprises and Good Faith Estimates

Beginning January 1, 2022, if you’re uninsured or if you opt for self-pay (i.e., not going through your health insurance), health care providers like me must provide you with an estimate of the expected charges before you get an item or service. This is called a good faith estimate (GFE).

Providers and facilities (like mine) must provide you with a GFE if you request one, or after you’ve scheduled a service. It should include the expected charges for all items or services that are provided as part of the same scheduled experience. The provider must provide a list of all items and services associated with your care.
